About the Artist

Cecilia Sullivan’s love of landscapes and the outdoors began by wandering her childhood farm on horseback or gathering on the shores of the Puget Sound in Northwest Washington. Cecilia is a natural artist and has spent a life creating and taking art classes in bronze sculpture, pottery, watercolor and drawing. Her career path as an interior decorator parallels her passion for fine art and after acquiring a BA at Western Washington University, returned to her home on Fox Island in Washington to open a business creating architectural decorative finishes and murals for 10 years. Having a keen eye for color, this endeavor gave Cecilia further technical expertise in large scale works, acrylics and layering of textures as she has moved exclusively into her fine art.

Most of Sullivan’s contemporary paintings are born of travels in the great wide open within a couple hundred miles of where she now lives in Tacoma Washington. Her passion for landscapes has been further intensified from time spent kayaking, hiking, camping and traveling in neighboring states, seeking paths less traveled along country roads.
